Big Brother Naija Season 11 Head of House, Chimsom Chuka, has sparked debate among viewers after asking fellow housemates to pray before the start of a house meeting on Sunday.
Chimsom, a pharmacist and actor from Anambra State, became the first Head of House of the season and has been taking charge of activities inside the house. During one of the meetings, he gathered the housemates and asked that a prayer be said before discussions began.
When some of the housemates reacted, he reminded them that he was in charge of the meeting and had the right to decide how it would be conducted.
While some viewers felt that introducing prayer into a reality television programme was unnecessary, others supported the move.

They argued that opening meetings with prayer is a common practice in many homes, workplaces and organisations across Nigeria, making Chimsom’s decision understandable.

Since taking over as Head of House, Chimsom has introduced a firm leadership style.
He has insisted that housemates arrive on time for meetings, regularly brings everyone together to discuss issues in the house, and has spoken about cleanliness, kitchen management and general discipline.
He has also warned that anyone who refuses to follow the house rules could be reported to Big Brother for possible disciplinary action.
